Overview
We are seeking a talented Sr. Fund Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team. As a Sr. Fund Accountant at Griffin, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and financial success of our investment funds. You will collaborate closely with our Finance, Investment, and Portfolio teams, supporting various key activities such as audit/tax/year end deliverables, quarterly reporting, portfolio monitoring, and investment closing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support audit, tax, and year-end deliverables, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Assist in quarterly reporting, providing crucial financial data and analysis.
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and expenses efficiently and effectively.
- Provide support for portfolio monitoring, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Assist in handling due diligence requests and RFIs from limited partners.
- Collaborate with the Finance team on portfolio construction and return analytics.
- Partner with Finance and Investment teams in the investment closing process.
- Oversee crypto/token administration, including custody, trading, compliance, and audit.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements, liaising with external service providers such as auditors, custodians, and legal advisers.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects related to fund operations and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in fund administration or financial services.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, small team environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on accounting for investment funds.
- Knowledge of CLOs or Structured Finance is a plus.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a drive for excellence.
- Ability to handle pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Innovative and analytical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills, demonstrating the ability to take ownership and see projects through to completion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) with strong capabilities in data analysis, document creation, and presentation design, including advanced formatting and customization
